Christmas
the very word evokes emotion, thought, prayer and thanksgiving and yet,
in its commercialism - brings on a certain frenzied panic.
Christmas makes us think of Jesus, gifts, a manger, Bethlehem, children, family, friends
and, yet, in its commercialism - it causes us to concern ourselves with schedules, keeping
up and getting everything done.
How is it that such a joyous event has been commercialized to the point that very little
true joy can be found? Jesus birth - was in fact, simple and quiet and peaceful. It was a
time for angels heralding the good news, a shining star, loving parents in the flesh and a
sovereign, Holy, Heavenly Father watching over all. There was rejoicing - because a
Saviour - a much anticipated Saviour had come
to save the world.
How odd that such a beautiful example of Gods love has become so distorted. Now, at
the very mention of the name of God or Jesus comes the concern of political
correctness or a kind of religious guilt.
Have we forgotten?
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved John 3:17
It was and is, all about love
The heartfelt desire of The Gospel Music Foundation is to, in love, spread the good news
of Jesus Christ, using the powerful tool of music.
we have regularly provided worship at the Edmonton Young
Offenders Centre and have seen many lives and souls changed.
we are scheduled to begin providing worship at some of the larger
prisons - the Max and the Fort - beginning in January.
we produced a FREE one day Gospel Music Festival - SOUL FEST in a
public park in August 2002 and witnessed many miracles.
we have just produced a compilation disc, WINDOW OF HOPE, which
will spread the word and, will benefit many ministries.
